The normal functioning of the eye is ensured by proper coordination between various parts of the eye both anatomically and physiologically. If all the parts of the eye fail to synchronize, poor vision results. Common vision problems related to the eye include:
20/20 vision is commonly heard in context to eyesight. It measures the visual acuity of the eyes. Visual acuity for a long time is measured through the Snellen chart. 20/20 vision means at 20 feet the person can see those things that a person with normal visual acuity can see. Therefore 20/20 is called a normal vision. However, if the visual acuity measures 20/40, it means that you must move closer to 20 feet to see the thing that a person with normal vision can see from 40 feet. The visual acuity score is an important parameter to determine the health of your eyes. Through proper examination it is easy to identify myopia or hypermetropia.
